Afrocentric clothing styles
Afrocentric clothing are becoming more and more dynamic.
These days Afrocentric clothing has now become the center of Africans around the world’s favorite way of declaring how proud they are of their African roots.
In the past, African clothing used to be hard to come by. You had to contact somebody in Africa, who will then contract a tailor to sew it for you.
And the worst part?
The question of how you were going to be able to get it delivered to you.
Don’t get me started on the amount of stress the sender and you as the receiver will through before receiving your package.
What’s more, the dress could end up not fitting you. And that’s where you will start feeling scammed.
Thankfully there have been various online shops springing up these days that will deliver to you handmade African print dresses online.
As a black woman, I endeavor to support black-owned businesses whichever way I can.
That’s why I started a blog series highlighting black-owned Etsy shop owners selling Anything African print related.

Etsy African shop owner highlight
Our Etsy African Shop star of the day is Valerie.
Valerie owns the With Flare African shop on Etsy.
She is known because of her signature patchwork designs.
Due to her artistic nature, Valerie thought it wise not to pursue the one print dress style trend on the Afrocentric clothing for women’s dress styles on the market and decided to pursue the patch-work print dress styles.
She uses the ever famous patches of colored Ankara print designs to make and design the most breathtaking Afrocentric clothing.
Each design of hers you will see here; is not made from one Ankara print cloth.
They are patches and scraps of Ankara fabric that has been painstakingly and carefully patched together to bring out her lovely pieces.
(Honestly, between you and I, I have zero patience to tolerate this kind of patch-work sewing.)
Valerie, together with her husband are the brains and hands behind the Afrocentric clothing online shop on Etsy called With Flare.
The clothes are custom made with a tone of color gradients that perfectly mixes well with its make and design.
Valerie designs this type of African patterns dresses for bold women.
If you believe yourself to be bold, these Ankara patchwork dress styles will highlight your boldness even more.
The patchwork designs by With Flare comes in different styles and shapes.
She also makes afrocentric clothing plus size women styles using the ankara patches.
To be honest, each of the designs here has some kind of euphoria surrounding it which makes it all exciting to own.
Valerie and her husband show their love for African print culture, by way of infusing modernism and African traditions in their African print patch-work designs.
It is actually no wonder that they have hundreds of glowing reviews from satisfied customers.
The reviews range from how patient she is and how her delivery is fast.
That notwithstanding, her customers rave about how brilliant their purchased patchwork styles; plus they get to be the center of attention wherever they wear Valerie’s designs.
You can read some of the reviews on Etsy here.

Again, I must be frank with you here, because the styles are not made from one same print design, it is unlikely that you will get the same design again if it runs out of stock.
You can click on any of the links to purchase or simply click on this link, and it will take you straight to her shop.
Hold on tight to your money piurse because no one enters Valerie’s shop and purchases one item. There are far too many tempting designs in her shop which you can hardly ignore.
I hope you will support Valerie and her business. Black business owners need the most support they need as much as possible.
