Sarlea Mah: the african fashion rebel
So, when I say Sarlea Mah is a fashion rebel,I don’t mean she is part of a rebel group or anything like that. Her choice of traditional african print fashion styles, merged with mordern day fashion ideas makes her a rebel when it comes to african fashion.
It is no wonder she states emphatically that she is a walking piece of art.
Her eclectic tastes in fashion makes her stand out amongst all her fashion peers.
In this blog post, I will be showing Mah’s fashion tastes especially when it comes to the amazing african print fashion . But first…..
WHO IS SARLEA MAH?
Most people who follow her on instagram and other social media handles may probably describe her as a social media influencer. And that is not far from the truth.
She is, actually a social media influencer but, is that all about her? Well, continue reading to find out.
Mah is a Liberian girl through and through.
She was born in Liberia. Her family had to relocate to the US due to the Liberian war. She has five sisters and a brother.
Apart from Mah being a social media influencer, she works as an air hostess on Southwest airlines.
You would be suprised to know that she is also studying to become a pilot. Isn’t that wonderful?
She is indeed the epitome of the saying “beauty with brains”.
Without further ado,
Let’s see some of her fashion styles when it comes to the african prints.
Mah wore this midi pink and yellow patterned off shoulder african print dress style, to be a judge on Miss Liberia USA beauty pageant. She paired it with pink strapped heals.
She also adorned on her head an african print fascinator which had pink crinoline net to highlight it.
The african fashion rebel has stated uncategorically her passion for pink colours. The whole look is simply stunning on her.
This is what I call the “give me some sunshine and rainbow dress”. Mah looks absolutely stunning in this dashiki african print dress. The whole dress style completed with the dashiki head wrap makes her look on top of her game. Don’t you just love her bold look?
This african print dress style, so far, is the style that has really broken the internet this year. It was so elegantly styled and she looked like a million bucks in it. It was not even made this year.
According to her, she made it some years to attend a wedding in it. Long story short, she couldn’t attend the wedding so it sat in her wardrobe collecting dust. Read the full story on her blog.
Nevertheless, she couldn’t have chosen a better year to break the internet in it.
This print style looks every bit an african woman and I love it. The head wrap and the african prints bag makes the look sultry and elegant.
Conclusion…
You would agree with me that her african fashion sense is rebellious and fantastic. Unfortunately Mah, doesn’t have much pictures of her wearing african print.
It would be so much interesting to see her in various print styles. I hope she rectifies that to make us see her in more print styles.
So soon I have to end here. Thank you so much for sticking to the end of this post.I hope you loved it.
I have loads african print in fashion styles here on this blog. Feel free to check them out.
